I just found out i had a DD a few days ago. Thats always a nice surprise! Since that one was an aurora-shot i thought i could throw up something i simply forgot to post earlier...
The intensity of the aurora would change constantly. It could shine like crazy for a brief moment and then be relatively quiet for longer periods. The challenge was to set up on the right place when the activity exploded. I missed some of the finest activity because of some bad choices, but there were a few times where i got it exactly how i wanted.
On this one i wanted the aurora to be reflected in the river right in front of me. The activity had so far been concentrated more to the right of the frame, making such a compo impossible. But suddenly it entered the frame exactly where i wanted it and i got the shot i was after. Mission accomplished..
