I am so not a sunriseguy...I hate getting up early. In fact, if it werent for my "wife" i wouldnt get up at all. I would probably sleep all day, just getting out of bed to eat and ending up as the fattest guy in Norway...
Not really... But i have a hard time getting up early enough to catch the sunrise. Lucky for me that sunrise starts relatively late this time of year. 8 pm is prime time right now and even i am able to get up at that time. To bad that i start work at 8 am. So a regular day for me starts with me driving to work, looking out the window witnessing the most amazing sunrises and knocking my head well aware of the fact that i miss those opportunities every day...
Well...today i decided to start work a little later and give the sunrise a try. And since i`ve been in the risky corner lately, what better than to revisit the lake...?
In daylight i could see that the ice was thicker now than last time. Probably around 10cm, thats enough for a tank to drive around. But still, the ice was so transparent it felt like i was walking on glass that may crack every second.
I set up my tripod. Picked out my remote and went into compmode. The sky was on fire in the horizon and i just smiled as i went from one comp to another. I got a shitload of shots...some may live to see the internets...
it's awesome the way the reeds lie in the foreground, i would not have known that they were under ice, they look like they are still affected by the currents.
